Scope and Contents The S.H.M. Clinton Collection of Sacco-Vanzetti Material documents the case of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, two Italian anarchists, who were charged with robbing and murdering Frederick Parmenter and Alessandro Berardelli at the Statler-Morrill Shoe Company factory in Braintree, Massachusetts on April 15, 1920. Sacco and Vanzetti were executed in Charlestown State Prison on August 23, 1927. Also included are small collections of papers of Mary Donovan Hapgood and Catharine Huntington....
