Correspondence, 1934 - 1979
Scope and Contents
This series contains incoming professional correspondence written to Dalgliesh between 1934-1979 by her editors and fans, as well as correspondence addressed to others. Letters from her editors discuss various subjects, such as books going into paperback editions and a discussion of her writing process. Of note are two letters from Beatrice Potter to Paula Hutchinson. Also included is a note from the Princess of Belgium to Charles Scribner's Sons asking that they publish her recently written children's book. Of interest is a handmade illustrated book by Hildegard Woodward, who illustrated several of Dalgliesh’s books, including "Roundabout: Another Sandy Cove Story".
