Wishing him well and sending [Virginia A. MacMechan] and [Miss Peabody] to visit him; and mentioning Osvaldo [Maraviglia]. 2 s. (3 p.) In Italian.
Translation:
Received news via Oswaldo: speaks with affection and concern of Gigi (whom he calls "grande rebelle”). It is important that Gigi go well, mentally and physically because Vanzetti needs him as a mentor and friend. Vanzetti has but two American women in touch with him (Gigi so that they would find out about true conditions in Italy. “I am fine, I am not losing courage.”
