Programs

 Series — Box: 2
Call Number: MS 7110, Series 4

Scope and Contents

This series documents the programs offered by the North End Union. Programs of note include the summer camp located at Camp Parker in Westwood, Massachusetts, English as a Second Language, and Job Prep. Event flyers highlight the agency’s partnership with local organizations on sponsoring events. The Combined Social Services report describes the partnership between the North End Union and North Bennet Street School which began in 1985 and saw the joining of programs and funding, most notably with the streamlining of the daycare program which fell under the North End Union’s sole responsibility. Of interest are the Can Do Alliance correspondence and meeting records which document the agency’s involvement in the future development of the North End as a result of the demolition of the Central Artery.
