Members of the Rhode Island Assembly came to see her about Simmons’s case. She could not legally take him to hospital without the consent of the town, but Assembly might intervene. Death of Simmons announced. Vote was taken respecting insane poor of the state. Accused people of Little Compton of murder. Inspected case of insane girl in Little Compton, whom she will bring to Boston; asks Emerson to meet her at the station to help take girl to Charlestown. 1 s. (4 p.) [Former page 33.]
