Charles Joseph Elliot was an American civil engineer and surveyor. He was born on August 29, 1870 to Charles Darwin Elliot and Emily Jane (Hyer) Elliot in Somerville, Massachusetts. He succeeded his father in his surveying business, which was active in Somerville, Medford, Arlington, Winchester, Lexington, and Waltham, Massachusetts. The firm was acquired by Dana F. Perkins & Sons, Inc. Charles Joseph Elliot died February 22, 1937 in Somerville, MA.
